Introducing Our First Feature Artist and Founder of the CMP
Joanne Maggs is a ceramic artist and the owner and operator of Lillypilly Pottery and Sajo Ceramics studio based in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Joanne began her journey into ceramics around twenty years ago. Since then, Joanne has turned her passion for pottery and ceramics into a full-time business. After a few years of running a commercial studio Joanne now works under her new brand Lillypilly Pottery to create her own range of diverse functional stoneware pieces. Using the natural clay textures and colours and experimenting with different glazes to create interesting and unique pieces for the home. Joanne also enjoys incorporating timbers, metals and textiles into some of her pieces creating a flow between the different elements. Each piece Joanne creates has its own unique features with no pieces ever being the same as the next.
